21st Century Occupations

The Covid-19 pandemic brought profound changes, with physical human connection becoming a distant memory for many. This portrait project became my way of reclaiming a sense of control, seeking out connection, and documenting a unique moment in history. It captures the resilience of those who continued working in their physical spaces, offering a glimpse into their environments, free from the barriers of masks and social distancing. These portraits celebrate workers past and present, focusing on the individuals behind the uniforms, while paying homage to the iconic work of August Sander.

Shot across the Greater Glasgow area, this ongoing series is dedicated to Eric, the beekeeper featured in this work, who sadly passed away shortly after our time together.mercial photography Glasgow
